Jäckie Rydz is an interdisciplinary performance artist. They believe in the immediacy of performance, in vibrant aesthetics and poetic text. Underlying all of this is a queer intimacy that drives them, teaches them, and which they explore in their work.

Rydz’ first production BABYLON, a fantasy of queers leading a catholic mass, premiered in 2023 at Nowy Teatr Warsaw and toured to Theater der Welt supporting programme at studio Naxos Frankfurt, Le Lampenfieber Berlin and Hundert Pro! 6.1. Festival at Ringlokschupen Ruhr.

Their first Solo OLYMPIA about trans people in high performance sport premiered in 2025 at Ballhaus Ost Berlin during Sportfest Festival and will tour in 2026 to Volcano Theatre Wales.

FC GLORIA, a performance that imagines two genderqueers as football stars, got cancelled due to its pro- Palestinian content in 2025 and will be screened at Zentralwäscherei Zürich in July 2026.

Rydz holds a BA in stage design from the University of Arts Berlin and an MA in Applied Theatre Studies from JLU Giessen. They work as an artistic collaborator internationally and in different constellations as a stage designer and performer. Current collaborators include Pamela Moraga and Xavier Le Roy.
